Actress Revathi
Revathi is the popular Indian actress and film director. In 1980s and 1990s she had been on the peak of popularity in Kollywood cinema. She had won millions of her fans by showing wonderful performance in various Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. Since she was suitable for any type of character, she acted in many tens of films. She was first introduced by the popular Tamil film director Bharathi Raja in his film named 'Manvasanai'. She showed her wonderful performance in that film and became most popular actress. Revathi was born on 8th July, 1966 at Cochin in Kerala as daughter for Mr.Kelluni,
 an officer in Indian Army and Mrs.Lalitha. Her real name is Asha Kellunni.  In the year 1988 she married then popular film director Suresh Menon and divorced him after two years.

She played opposite almost all top heroes of Tamil film industry including Rajini Kanth, Kamalhasan, Prabu, Karthic, Vijayakanth and so on. Some of her successful Tamil movies are Pudumai Pen, Unnai Nan Santhithen, Thevar Mahan, Udaya Geetham, Mouna Ragam, Vaidhehi Kathirunthal and Anjali. She was also popular in Malayalam film industry and played opposite Malayalam film actors like Mamooty and Mohanlal. Mazhavil kothumbil, Mayamayooram, Ente kanakuyil, Kattathe killikoodu, Kakothi Kaavil Appoopan Thadigal are some of her successful ran Malyalam movies. She also acted in many Hindi films like Aur Ek Prem Kahani, Ab Tak Chappan, Dil Jo Bhi Kahey, Muskurahat and Dhoop. Nana Patekar and Ompuri are some of the Hindi actors  with whom she acted .

 The above beautiful song is from the popular Tamil movie named 'Punnagai Mannan'. In that movie Revathi played opposite most popular Tamil film actor Kamalhasan. As Revathi appears as a Singaleese in that movie, the hero Kamalhasan praises the heroine Revathi as a beautiful kukoo bird from Sri Lanka. The song became super hit because of the wonderful performance of great music director Ilayaraja. The singers are SPB and Janaki. Even today people would like to watch and hear this song!

'Valli Valli Ena Vanthal' song from the film 'Theivavakku'



 The above beautiful song is from the movie 'Theivavakku' in which our Revathi played opposite the most popular Tamil movie actor Karhic. In this song both Revathi and Karthic performed very nice. The song became super hit not only because of the wonderful music by Ilayaraja and also of his beautiful voice. The movie was released in 1993.

The Song 'Thalam Poove Vasam Veesu' from the movie 'Kai Kodukkum Kai'



 It is so nice that everyone would like to view and hear this song. The song is from the movie named 'Kai Kodukkum Kai' in which actress Revathi played opposite the great Tamil actor RajiniKanth. She appeared as a blind poor girl. In this song both hero and heroine share their love feelings. Though she is blind by birth, the hero Rajinikanth encouraging her with kind words. They both acted well in the above song. The great plus of the song is music by Ilayaraja. Singers are SPB and Janaki

'Agayavennilave Tharai Meethu Vanthatheno' song from the movie 'Arangetravelai'



 The above song is from the movie named 'Arangetravelai, directed by the popular film director Fazil, in which Revathi acted with popular Tamil film actor Prabu. The other senior Tamil film actor V.K.Ramaswamy also appears in the song. The song contains three stanazas and first part of it is imagined by V.K.Ramaswamy and the other parts of the song are imagined by Revathi and Prabu. The song became superhit on account of music by Ilayaraja and magnetic voices of famous playback singer Dr. K.J.Yesudas and S.Janaki.
